This genealogy group is top notch. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. The ladies waited on us hand and foot. They helped find our family names and made recommendations to make our visit easy and exciting. I found information I never thought I would find. I hope THE CITY REALIZES WHAT THIS GEM HAS TO OFFER.

Detailed history of Monticello. It has an extremely large and interesting collection of memorabilia. Everything from a stagecoach to war and farm implements. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. There isn't a fee charged but they do take donations. A true hidden treasure. I regret not taking more photos.

This museum is amazing! It's huge! If you want to know anything about the history of the area this is the place to go. The women that work there are very friendly and made me feel like we were family from the start. They took 2 1/2 hours out of their busy day to give a personal free tour of the place for me, my grandmother, and my great aunt. I cannot thank them enough for giving their time and sharing their knowledge with us! There are 4 stories to the museum and in the basement there is a hidden entrance to a cave under the town. It is one of the best little museums I have ever visited! It doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is full of priceless gems of our nation's history.
