The fish are small but its a nice place just to get out of the house. I take my daughter there and she plays with the little fish. I keep seeing guys with cage traps and nets taking the little fish out which causes the lake to be short of fish. The city no longer stocks the lake so these people are not helping. The game warden or fish and wildlife needs to make frequent stops there.
This lake is not recommended after sunset because it does have its frequent dealers popping up.
Picnic tables and grills are available, even has a swing that overlooks the small lake.

It was a nice view… need more siting chairs, because this is a nice place to sit and chill and relax. Very relaxing!!

Very sad to see this place so neglected. No money from the city for maintenance? There's trash everywhere, barely any fish. Doesn't get stocked like the rest of the small lakes in Jefferson county.
Homeless people living in tents in tall weeds next to the fence by bus depot. Used syringes laying on the ground from lost souls throwing their lives away. Very depressing, I used to take my kids there 20 years ago. I had been going there for 40 years. I hate to see it wasted like this.

Fishing is good caught something everytime I've been there. Quality healthy fish and turtles. Famo spot near lake. Great local spot.

Hidden gem! Great cookout spot and the lake does look fish-able. The walking path is a nice activity. Upkeep could be better.

I can't think of any reason to go there. I went to sit and kill some time. There were some young men there just hanging out. You can imagine the scene. No fish,waters low and
Dirty. But you can always practice on your casting
