Besides being misdiagnosed by doctors who previously dealt with me. It’s a decent hospital. ER doctors misdiagnosed me over 4x due to previous past history and visits with them. Literally just look at you, make an assumption and tell you it’s an allergic reaction but don’t give you anything for it. Thanks Ombabz. Take better care of your patients, and just know patients hear the gossip all the docs and nurses do in the ER. It’s sad! All went for degrees to gossip about families and addictions? Disgusting.

October 13,2024 1lpm. I was having tightness in my upper chest, jaw pain again. This time I decided I better have it checked out. My husband took me into Gila Regional about 11pm. The young lady in check in got me back to the back immediately. She was very nice as was Jacob who brought a wheelchair for me and took me back.
Dr. Goldblatt examined me and had blood texts, x rays and a ct scan done. Dr. Goldblatt was professional, and he listened to what I told him. I had some great nurses, Chinway (sp) and Jaime and Jacob was my CT tech I believe- I told Dr. Goldblatt that I had 3 Zephyr valves in my lower right lung so he would know why the x rays would show that lobe collapsed. Dr. Goldblatt came back later and said it looked like I had pneumonia in both lungs and he was admitting me to the hospital and that I should be able to go home by Wednesday. Dr. Goldblatt came back in around 4:30am and said he was waiting on the "floor doctor" to admit me to the hospital so he could send me upstairs. He gave me some antibiotics.

Sometime later a young man came in, Dr. Ryan Urich, he was busy trying to impress me with his two board certifications. When he quit talking he said "if you need CPR right now do
you want me to perform it?" I said yes and he said if he performed CPR he would then have to "intubated and ventilate me" and that would make my DNR null and void. I said no, don't do CPR then, he made me repeat no twice.

Next he said "you do realize you don't come to the hospital for dental pain?" I said I came to the hospital for chest pain that included my jaw hurting. I also said, 'you need to work on your
bedside manner." He then reminded me of his vast credentials.

He then said there seems to be something in my upper left lung. I said I had aspergillus back in the 90's and could it be scar
tissue? He rushed out of the room, I thought some emergency happened because he ran out. The he came back in and said you are alright, you are having a panic attack or an anxiety attack and I said no I am not. He hollered "yes, you are having a panic attack!" I said "are you "certified" in psychiatry and he said no. I said, well there you have it. I guarantee that I am not suffering a panic or anxiety attack." Dr. Urich left the room again for the last time.

Dr. Goldblatt came back in and said he was calling in two prescriptions for me, that he couldn't admit me without the "floor doctor" approving it, he was apologetic. Chinway came in and started unhooking me, I told her that I thought I was going to be in the hospital until Wed. and she said she knows and she was sorry but I was being released. I said, I sent my husband home can you call him to come get me and she said sure. My husband got to the hospital and I was released from the emergency ward about 6am.

I was sent home 10/14/2024 with prescriptions for Azithromycin 250 6 pack plus the two they gave me in the hospital and prescription for Cefuroxime 500mg, 20 tablets.

October 17,2024 5:17am lost consciousness, ambulance took me to hospital, my left lung had collapsed, pneumothorax, and I only had two lobes on right lung. Don't know anything about the ER on that day but the people that took care of me when I was admitted to the hospital were great. I do know a Dr. Marble drained the pleural cavity of my left lung allowing it to start inflating again, he did a good job.

I have often wondered if I had been admitted for the pneumonia would the pneumothorax have been avoided. I was admitted to the hospital this time and was in there for 4 days and I was well taken care of by the doctors and nurses, house keeping, all of them. The was no Dr. Urich this time.

I had a motorcycle accident October 25, 2024, I fractured my (ankle) fibula in 2 places and had additional fractures, torn ligament and chipped bone. I was brought to this hospital, initially all was fine, nurse came took my vitals, then xrays, Dr came in and told me I had a very bad break, they would wait on an orthopedic Dr to come and set my ankle. Almost 2 hours later, the same Dr came in and said he was going to set it, the Orthopedic Doctor wasn't coming, ok, so they bring me to another room said I was going to be put out and they would reset my bone and would not feel any pain, WELL I WAS AWAKE!! As they started to reset the bone I started screaming! My husband said he could hear me all the way down the hall, he was sickened by my screams! Then the Dr said, more medicine, that's the last I remember. I woke up in pain, totally disoriented with my husband by my side angry. The Dr put a temporary cast on my foot (it was too tight) so I could leave to see my own surgeon and the only thing between my cast and my leg was an ace bandage which caused more trauma to my foot! My Doctor in Arizona told me I ended up with more abrasions on the top and side of my foot and black and blue where I had no trauma and a long row of blisters! The only good thing I can say about this hospital is they had a traveling Nurse, Shelbre, from the beginning
she made me feel comfortable and did all she could to put me at ease, before and after the procedure she was amazing, the hospital, if you need help, drive by it to the next available!

Dr. Rosser and his surgery team were amazing! I had a rare condition that needed to be addressed, and from start to finish, they were professional and treated me like family. So thankful that I was able to have this procedure done locally! GRMC gets my 5 star vote.

I recently had surgery at Gila Regional Medical Center. The pre-op nurse went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and put me at ease. All of the nurses and doctors I saw that day were very kind. I would hope that if anyone is in need of emergency care they would feel comfortable going to Gila Regional Medical Center.

I had to take my son to the hospital around 1230pm today because of threatening to commit suicide and they had us in the hallway for awhile and then they put us in the family focus room. At 5pm we were forced to move out of the room, and I was told by an RN that we have to get over the fact we had to leave the room and that no patients were allowed in that room. Now there is another child in that room. And another thing is why are patients being made to sit in the hallway when there are many open rooms with no one in them. The nurse in the triage room was being rude and unprofessional. She told me that we can get over it (about being made to leave the room). I am so fed up with the stupid hospital with them being rude and unprofessional and not taking me seriously when my child has attacked me twice in this hospital and no one has done a damn thing. This is worse than the worst hospital I've ever been at. They really need help.
