We don’t usually post like this, but after the recent flooding, our family just needs to say how proud we are of Brandon.
As superintendent at the Water Treatment Plant, he worked around the clock—literally—making sure our town, and surrounding entities, had safe, running water when it could have so easily gone the other way.
While many were taking shelter and watching the waters rise, Brandon was out there, waist-deep in the middle of it all—protecting electrical systems, coordinating the right people, making the right calls, and making sure everything stayed up and running.
He didn’t do it for praise. He did it because he cares deeply about this town and its people.
We miss him when he’s gone so much—holidays, family events, weekends, nights. It’s hard. But we know he’s doing something that truly matters. We see the sacrifices, and while they aren’t always easy, we’re reminded in moments like these that they’re for the greater good.
So while you may not always see him, just know he’s probably out there solving a problem no one else even knew was coming.
And we couldn’t be more proud of him, his staff, and every employee at the FPB for keeping the capital city running.
Love,
Your biggest fans—your family

Especially in times of great challenge, the FPB staff works around the clock to restore services to our area homes and businesses.
For the most part, we rarely think of the work that goes into maintaining a high degree of service for our utilities. It's not until a traffic accident, severe storm or flood knocks out one or more service that many people even realize what it takes to provide these services.
We turn a knob or push a button, then 'expect' the magic of instant water, light, heat, or internet signal to be there.
Please take a moment to appreciate the brilliant minds and hard working hands that bring this 'magic' to your fingertips.

The employees of the Frankfort Plant Board are fantastic. During the flooding over the past few days, they have worked tirelessly to keep our utilities up and working. Many probably leaving their own family’s and homes in flood areas. I see them working and they have a smile on their face. My utilities are rarely out. On the few times they do go out, before I call they already know about it and already have people working on it. I have lived in other towns. I know the service I get here is much better. Thanks to all the employees taking care of Frankfort.

Frankfort is blessed to have an entity like Frankfort Plant Board. Their dedication to the community goes above and beyond, working tirelessly to get the job done. Water in boots, tired aching arms, backs, etc., they keep going until the job is finished. This last emergency was just another example of why FPB is so vital to Frankfort/Franklin County. Watching the bravery of the people repairing the damaged water line, dangling over the rushing river so close to them was really hard to see. Another example was rerouting the fiber optics with very little inconvenience to customers. That’s just 2 examples of the many things FPB did during this latest emergency. Not mentioning the countless times they answer the call if there are power outages, water, cable, internet, phone interruptions. When we need to make a service call it is always answered by friendly, knowledgeable people who send friendly knowledgeable people to answer our questions, fix the problem and help in any way they can. Hometown matters and it shows in the employees. It doesn’t matter if they live in other towns surrounding Frankfort, they care about their customers. This family appreciates all FPB employees whether it be management, office, or service. You are the best, and boy did you shine during this record setting flooding. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sending appreciation to the employees of FPB! They are working incredibly hard to ensure the city water is back up and running! Their transparency and quick notification actions allowed us to be prepared in the event of poor water quality or lack of water resources. Neither happened but they are to be commended for ensuring the community was well informed and had time to prepare!

FPB has some wonderful people that work there. Amanda help me take care of a previous and set up at a new address. She was very efficient and wonderful. I have always been very pleased with FPB

I've lived in Frankfort for 5 years and have never had a utility problem that wasn't addressed and fixed immediately. Even in the historic storms and floods of early 2025, I never lost power for more than one minute, and my fiber optic internet has never gone done (and it's really really fast!). Their efforts during the April '25 flood were honestly heroic in keeping us with power, water and telecom.

FPB has worked tirelessly during this flood to protect our resources and keep us as comfortable as possible. They knew when to turn off the pumps to keep a major outage from occurring. And fixed breaks when they happened as well. Thank you to all of the workers!
