DCCH is a wonderful organization that cares for children in a heartfelt way. They trained us to be foster parents and helped us immensely when we were placed with kiddos. From coaching and advice to showing up on our doorstep, dropping off almost everything we needed from donations. Everyone there is great! My brother and I were kids at DCCH from 1990-1994. My time there was the best of my life. I think about the children’s home all the time. The workers we had there were absolutely amazing. I can remember the last visit I got with my mom while there. I tried to play it off like it was no big deal and I was doing good with it until ms crow and sister Jean mari came to check on me. As soon as they walked in I lost it. They both grabbed me and held me like I was their child. I will never forget that. My brother ended up getting adopted and I wasn’t ready for a new family so I opted to stay at the home. I am now 39 years old with a family of my own. I owe so much to the children’s home. What I wouldn’t do to meet some of the staff I had while there!!! Love DCCH so much❤️❤️❤️
