We stayed at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort to enjoy some skiing at Mt Hood Meadows. Our room was warm and cozy, perfect for a snowy mountain getaway. The local Crooked Tree Bar and Grill had a good menu, good beer. Everyone was very friendly. The Cooper Spur ski area is just a 5 min drive, and though small, has nice intermediate runs, all groomed, and good for some relaxing turns.

We spent a few nights at Cooper Spur and it was so lovely! The location is great, being about a 20 min drive to Meadows and a 30 min drive the opposite way to Hood River. The room was cozy and spacious; the only negative I had was that the lights in the hallway outside were quite bright and shone through the blinds, even when shut so the room wasn’t super dark at night. I think having some type of curtains to close over the window would’ve been ideal to block out the extra light. The staff we encountered were all very kind and helpful. They grind fresh coffee every morning for guests, and I thought that was a really thoughtful little touch that I’ve never encountered at other hotels. We rented snowshoes, which was free for hotel guests, and hiked around their trails around the area. The tavern on-site was also nice; the waitress helped us figure out what was vegan on the menu and we had a delicious meal and cocktails after our snowshoeing!

We got here pretty late, but they made it easy for us to still be able to access our rooms. All we had to do was pull up to the office and grab our key out of one of the little lock boxes, and we were good to go. Really liked our stay here, it was a Sunday night, so nice and quiet. We woke up the next day and ate at the restaurant right on the grounds, which was AMAZING. Wish we would have had more time here and if ever in the area we will be back! I for sure recommend this place and if you ask the front before you leave they even give you free tickets for the sky lift over by Mt. Hood!

Well it is in ideal location, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The bathtub in my cabin was so dirty and beat up I did not want to even shower in it!
The restaurant was serving top notch food!
But, because we were a group of 18 they did not even give up the option of the menu to choose from and made us go into a large setting and give us cold, unappetizing, far substandard to the usual food served when you order off the menu!
The price was way too expensive and unacceptable for ANYONE, let all be a returning group of paying consumers!
All because they did not want separate checks?
Coopers Spur I will not return! Do better!

Abusive price for little (or almost nothing) to do at the “resort”. No attractions. Just playing in the snow. Even the ski area was closed, even in winter with a lot of snow. Very disappointed that the sauna and hot tubs were not working. For this price, they should at least offer breakfast and include it in the price. On the positive side, comfortable and cozy rooms, and very attentive and friendly staff, especially at the tavern.
