I donated over $250 worth of toys last year for their teddy drive of my own money. Countless offerings & tithes during service. And this month I needed rental assistance, I was declined for not making enough income to support my living expenses. I make $13 per hour and my rent is $616.00 per month. Monthly my take home is $1,600. Unfortunately I had an unexpected vehicle repair that set me back for the month of February, so I requested assistance from what I thought was a church family I could trust. I am grateful to God that I wasn’t facing eviction, because I’d be homeless if I depended on this church. Times will be hard for a little while longer, but rest assured I will never step foot back into that church; ever again.

I recently called this church, I was not impressed. I did not realize God's love changes by ZIP code. My wife and I ran out of fuel and because we were not in that area they were about 18 miles away they would not help us. I just don't understand. The world is full of digital technology. Somebody could have sent us a cash app to get us back on the road. But no they would rather us freeze to death in our car then help. This is why my wife and I quit going to services. The preacher likes to put too much money in his own pocket instead of helping out the poor and in need. I would not recommend calling them for anything.

They're very good about catering to what everybody wants. That's why I can't give them 5 stars. I attended for several months every Sunday to give it a fair shot, but they seemed more interested in being appealing than helping people grow in Christ. It's more of a Christian hangout than a Bible study. Services are short, there's free coffee at the snack bar, and there's an activity every day of the week. It's great if that's what you're looking for.

Full of hypocrite! One crazy old woman called a little girl a liar on her first time visiting, so that nice family never returned. A lot of the members just brag about their church being the only one to ever do anything to help others and brag how they own all the shelters when I worked at one of the shelters which was funded federally. A few other members cursing and swearing at an elderly couple. Doesn’t seem to be about Jesus there.
I went a few times but got sick to my stomach and went to a church in Shelbyville.

We're now members but I wish we'd found Cap City a long time ago. If you've never been a church regular, or were but felt judged or out of place, or the sermons didn't move you, this is the place for you. Doc's sermons will not only hit you between the eyes, they will help you understand God's love more than ever and encourage you to become a true Jesus follower. The worship music is typically very contemporary and is performed live by a full band. There are many classes, small groups, and service projects to get involved in. Come in and get to know us; bet you stay.

I was invited by a family member and fell in love with Christ at this church, my church family welcomed me with open arms, i love how everyone is so devoted to God and constantly looking for ways to serve the community, i definitely learned to be selfless and pay my blessings forward because I've been so blessed since giving my life to the lord... while you do have the option to attend Sunday service at any church of your choosing Capital City Christian Church is one I KNOW you'll love....it's my home away from home, my safe haven and it can be yours too:)
